Random Doings

Here's a few other fun things we've been doing.

In mid July we went to Grindelwald with friends to ride a zipline down First Mountain. Once we parked in Grindelwald we took a cable car up to the top of the mountain. I think it was the longest cable car ride I've done. I took Tucker so I couldn't do the zipline. Tucker and I walked around the top while they did the zip line and then Mike meet me back at the top for lunch.

 

In August we watched a movie outside (in English). It was a really nice set up. They had vendors serving dinner and drinks before the show. We were on the roof of the train station and if the sky was clear we would have had an amazing view of the Alps. The movie screen was huge. It must have been an ordeal to get it up there.

At the end of August we went on a 4 mile beer hike. There were 7 beer tents along the route, and at each beer tent you got 3 samples. Instead of trying all three samples, you could do one full beer instead.

And the first weekend of September we went to Bern's Oktoberfest. We got to wear our Lederhosen's we bought in Munich. It was a lot of fun, and was a nice warm up for the real Oktoberfest. 

This is a groom at his bachelor party. At the beginning of the day the bear suit is intact, but as the night goes on it gets ripped up. We saw this guy at the very end of his night. He was wasted and very entertaining.
