I made the Dreamer Top by See Kate Sew earlier this month. I really love the way it looks in the picture below.
Based on the measurements I cut a XS. It's a very easy pattern. 4 seams and a collar. It would have only taken me 1.5 hours to complete, but I sewed the collar on wrong and had to redo it. I used a french terry in navy from Fabric.com . It ended up being way too boxy for me, so I took in 2 inches on each side! The sleeves are a smidge too long. And I think the collar is also too wide for me. It moves around too much for my liking. I don't want it to shift and show my bra strap.
Next time I'll make an XXS. (See Kate Sew makes extended sizes, so her patterns go from XXS to 3XL.) The smaller size will fix the sleeve and collar issue. And I'll just take in the sides a tiny bit more.
I used my walking foot and I love it. It sews knits better than a regular foot with a zig zag stitch. The stitch lays flat with no puckering. I think the walking foot makes a huge difference and is worth the purchase.
My favorite thing about the pattern is how long it is. So many shirts hit right at the waist, but I like mine longer. I want to be able raise my arms and not have my stomach show.
I'll make this one again next time I get my hands on some french terry.
