In late November our friends and us went to Europa Park. Europa Park is Germany's largest theme park, and the second largest in Europe behind Disneyland - Paris. We all drove up Friday night to spend Saturday at the park. Mike and I didn't leave Bern until 6pm, and we got stuck in traffic so our 2 hour trip turned into 3.
The park had some pretty elaborate rides. The queue area was well decorated with lots to look at. They also had an intense roller coaster, with lots of turns, twists and loops. Despite it being a Saturday, the lines weren't very long. It was a fun time, I hadn't been to a theme park in a long time.

Mike and I decided to drive north an additional 50 minutes to Strasbourg for Saturday night. According to
this article Strasbourg has the number 1 Christmas Market in Europe. It was really beautiful. The markets were filled with sweets and a lot of Christmas ornaments. This was a large market, but I wish they had more handmade items.

Mike and I bought a few Christmas decorations for our collection, and then headed home. We were in Germany on Friday, France on Saturday and Switzerland on Sunday. 3 countries in one weekend. I'm loving this European living.
Auf Wiedersehen aus der Schweiz!!
